Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MailGPT ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MailGPT.
2. Description of Service
MailGPT is an AI-powered email triage and notification service that connects to your email account(s) and delivers important email notifications through messaging platforms including Telegram, WhatsApp, and Slack. The Service uses artificial intelligence to classify emails, generate summaries, draft replies, and provide personalized recommendations.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in certain jurisdictions) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account Registration and Security
When you connect an email account to MailGPT, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your email account credentials;
- Maintaining the security of your connected messaging platform accounts;
- All activities that occur under your connected accounts;
- Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access or security breach.
You agree not to share your account access or allow others to use your connected accounts.
5. OAuth Authorization and Data Access
By connecting your email account, you grant MailGPT permission to access the email metadata and content necessary to provide triage, notifications, summaries, search functionality, and reply drafting. This authorization is provided through secure OAuth protocols. You may revoke this access at any time through your email provider's account settings (for Google, at myaccount.google.com/permissions) or by disconnecting within MailGPT. How we handle that data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws;
- Violate the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it;
- Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious content;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
- Use automated means to access the Service except through provided APIs;
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.
7. Service Limitations and Disclaimers
No guarantee of accuracy. MailGPT uses AI to classify and prioritize emails. While we strive for accuracy, the Service may miss important emails, misclassify content, or generate incorrect summaries. You are solely responsible for monitoring your email and should not rely on MailGPT as your only method of checking critical communications.
"As is" service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Third-party dependencies. The Service depends on external platforms including Google, Microsoft, Telegram, WhatsApp (Meta), Slack, and Cloudflare (hosting and storage). Outages, policy changes, rate limits, or restrictions imposed by these providers may affect Service availability and functionality.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MailGPT and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MailGPT and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting your email account(s) or requesting account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Modifications to Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MailGPT regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
